This cabin (built 1920s-30s) was formerly located at the original R Lazy S location up in Grand Teton National Park. It was built by one of the original founding families, the Laidlaws, who shared the property as a private retreat. When the ranch opened as a dude ranch in 1948 it became a guest cabin.
This cabin as you see it today, is actually two smaller dude ranch cabins that have been pieced together. The master suite originated at the GP Bar Dude Ranch in Green River Lakes, Wyoming (1927-1966) and was added to one of the original guest cabins from the Aspen Ranch, a dude ranch located on this property from 1936-1941. Former owners, Howard and Cara Stirn lived in this cabin for several seasons until they built their own house on the ranch in 1986.
This cabin (built 1936) is one of four original guest cabins from the Aspen Ranch, a dude ranch located on this property from 1936-1941. Originally, this cabin served as two separate 1-bedroom accommodations with separate entrances, but in the 1980s this cabin was converted to serve as a single family-style cabin.

These are some of our newest cabins, built onsite in 1993. Previously, a trailer masquerading as a log-sided cabin was relocated here from the Old R Lazy S. Coyote’s predecessor has since been moved over to the crew area for employee housing.

This cabin,(built 1947 or earlier) was formerly located at the original R Lazy S location up in Grand Teton National Park where it was referred to as “Wilhoit Cabin”. We suspect that this cabin was built by one of the original R Lazy S founding families, either the Roesslers or the Spears which, if verified, would push it’s original build date to the 20s-30s.
This cabin (built 1930) was formerly located at the original R Lazy S location up in Grand Teton National Park and was likely built in two phases. After it’s relocation to the current property an additional bathroom was added to the back of the cabin.
This cabin, built in the 1920s, was originally located on West Street in Wilson, WY where it was a private home.
This cabin’s origin story is currently a bit of a mystery to us. We do not know where it originally came from or when it was built, only that it was brought to current property in 1972 and has been beloved by guests ever since.

This cabin was formerly located at the original R Lazy S location up in Grand Teton National Park, where it served as a tack-room. Once it moved down to its current location it was converted to housing, first as the “Boy’s Dorm”, and later as a standard guest accomodation. We believe this building likely dates to the 1940s, if not older.
